Bay Bridge Tier II NEPA Study Open House

On Wednesday, December 11 from 6 until 8 pm at Kent Island High School, and virtually, the Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) will display materials and be available to answer questions regarding the preferred alternative for a Bay Bridge replacement. This is the next step in getting Federal regulatory approval through the National Environmental Policy Act process. The preferred alternative will then be evaluated in an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS). MDTA is proposing to remove the existing eastbound and westbound Bay Bridge spans and replace them with two new bridge spans. The new bridge spans would be constructed near the location of the existing bridge spans. Ongoing studies will determine the exact location of any new bridge. The agency is also offering an on-line survery that covers various aspects of the proposed project.
