Each year, CRC tracks legislation introduced and moving through Maryland’s General Assembly to identify those topics that could affect the Corsica watershed. Some are direct, for example, septic system regulations and grant funding opportunities, and some are indirect, such as Bay-wide initiatives and bills that require packaging producers to take responsibility for responsible disposal of their products. At times, we add our voice to coalitions that more actively participate in the legislative process such as TrashFreeMaryland, the Clean Water Coalition, and ShoreRivers.
