Winter has revealed an ugly accumulation of trash along roadways and streams that feed into the Corsica River. Not only is the trash an embarrassing eyesore that does not reflect our community, but it is dangerous to birds, waterfowl, and other creatures that call the watershed home. So join with friends and neighbors to help clean it up.
Stop at the information booth at the Centreville Town Wharf on Watson Road between 10 am and 1 pm on Sunday, March 20th to collect gloves and bags and ideas for where you can help out. Or, pick your own spot. Post photos on social media with hashtag #corsicariver to publicize your work. Who can collect the most? We shall see…..
In case of rain, this event will be rescheduled. Check back on this website or our Facebook or Instagram pages to find out if we are postponing and for details.
If you plan to participate, send us an email at CorsicaRiverConservancy@gmail.com. Or just show up.
